Legal Sciences is dedicated to providing information, educational resources and training opportunities for professionals involved in the criminal justice system who handle impaired driver and motor vehicle crash cases.
Legal Sciences instructors have taught general traffic officers, DRE officers, accident reconstructionists, investigators and prosecutors (federal, state and municipal), government criminalists, toxicologists, crime lab technicians, crime victims, personal injury attorneys and judges across the United States.
It is the goal of Legal Sciences to produce educational resources – books, tapes, disks, and DVDs – that will be considered among the finest in the field.
John Kwasnoski is Professor Emeritus of Forensic Physics at Western New England University, after thirty-one years on the faculty. He is one of the most sought after accident reconstructionists and police-prosecutor trainers in the country. He has served as an expert in several cases of national significance, including: S. Carolina v. Susan Smith (a mother’s drowning murder of her two sons) and U.S. v. Makharadze (the “Russian Diplomat” case).
Prof. Kwasnoski has co-authored best-selling books, including: The Handbook of Collision Reconstruction, Courtroom Success: Being an Effective Witness, Kwasnoski’s Little Red Book (more than 5,000 copies sold). He has written more than seventy articles and lectured extensively on the subjects of “Collision Reconstruction” and “Effective Courtroom Testifying.” His Online Digital Library includes more than forty webinar presentations from the nationally known Lethal Weapon program and a document section including approximately fifty technical papers and publications.
Professor Kwasnoski has taught for the National College of District Attorneys, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the National Traffic Law Center and the American Prosecutors Research Institute, for whom he authored articles for their quarterly newsletter, “Between the Lines.”
